Start Selenium Server through code - Ruby

The selenium docs:
[https://seleniumhq.github.io/selenium/docs/api/rb/Selenium/Server.html][1]
show a Server class with start and stop methods. If I follow the docs and try to start the server through code:
server = Selenium::Server.new('/path/to/selenium-server-standalone.jar')
server.start
I get the following message:
uninitialized constant Selenium::Server
Did you mean? TCPServer (NameError)
How do I call these methods? I have require 'selenium-webdriver' defined at the start of my code before calling the methods but do I need to include anything else. All other webdriver code is working fine.
