I have been trying to use onScroll in select in Material UI to load more items in select, but the problem that I feel is that the API gets called an infinite number of times. How can this problem be solved?

<Select
onScroll={this.props.loadMoreOrganizations}
value={this.state.organizationselected}
onChange={this.handleChangeorganization}
inputProps={{
name:"organizationselected",
id:"age-simple"
}}
>
<MenuItem value="">
<em>None</em>
</MenuItem>
{
organizations.map(item=>{
return <MenuItem value={item._id}>{item.title}</MenuItem>
})
}
</Select>

However, what I see is that due to this, the API gets called an infinite number of times.
