Lightning component mobile override is not working in salesforce1 app

In our project, we have overridden some of the standard object's new button with Lightning Component. Now we have decided to include salesforce mobile into our project scope. And we are testing the app's behavior in Mobile. But it seems like the overriding feature does not work in mobile (i.e. even though I have overridden the Opportunity's new button with a lightning component, in mobile the lightning component page is not showing up. Instead, it is just showing the mobile version of standard opportunity's new page). So, I am wondering whether the "Overriding standard buttons with Lightning component" feature is available for mobile or am I missing some configuration setup. Can anyone help me through this?
