Uploading CSV Data to Database Table in Wordpress

I am tasked to modify a plugin to achieve some features. Part of the features is uploading an excel sheet OR CSV data to a table in the database and display the data. I can display the data once it's uploaded. My problem is uploading the data to database with wordpress. I have searched on how to achieve this but cannot find anything.



I will appreciate help.
