No build system with sublime 3.1

0

I am trying to use python3 with my sublime ver 3.1 on Mac OS High Sierra. I created the following file Python3_7.sublime-build using Tools->Build System->New Build System. This by default got saved in "/Users/sanjeevsingh/Library/Application Support/Sublime Text 3/Packages/User".

I then selected the option in Tools->Build_System->Python3_7. However when I do the build the bar at the bottom is showing "No Build System".

As mentioned in previous posts, I have made sure that the path to python3 is correct. I tried changing it back to the default 'python' but I keep getting the same error of 'No Build System".

Tried various experiments. The old build target "python" continues to work with python 2.7.15.

{
“cmd”: [“/usr/local/bin/python3”, “-u”, “$file”],
“file_regex”: “^[ ]*File ”(…*?)”, line ([0–9]*)”,
“selector”: “source.python”
}

    Your build file isn't valid JSON because of the double quotes that you're using "curly quotes" for all of the strings. Replace them with standard "straight" double quotes and things should work like you expect.
