Xamarin Forms Bluetooth barcode scanner awaking resets app back to login screen

I use external bluetooth barcode scanner with my Xamarin.Forms app. The blue scanner is paired and connected. However, it somehow goes asleep if not used and if I tap on its button to wake it up, it makes a beep which means it is awake and can scan.

However, each time it does that, I have to re-log into my app for some reason.

I am not using any barcode scanning SDKs, nor camera barcode scanning. This is an external barcode scanner.

I have no idea why is that happening? Any ideas why this could be happening and what to look for. The scanner in question is CS3000 (https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16838209129&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwordsCA-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwordsCA-PC--pla--Scanners+-+Barcode-_-N82E16838209129&gclid=CjwKCAiAodTfBRBEEiwAa1hautMlB5Rx8t-2Wyms12LW8YJF43T-oghQ8JIFJvzAl-4HxkxGW9xRMRoC7XUQAvD_BwE)

There is no logic in my app code to do anything like this. So, it is not software related for sure. But I have consistent behavior on both Android and IOS devices. If I log in and I forgot to make my barcode scanner awake, when I tap on its button to wake it up, my app switches back to log in screen.
