TFS Gated Check-In building several projects

First of all, I want to note that I am relatively new to TFS, and using a build server in general.

At work, we develop on several projects, some of which share files. We want to use Gated Check-ins to make sure that our source control always has code that builds successfully. Most of our errors occur when a file is changed, which several projects use.

I've successfully setup our system, such that if a file "Database.fs" is changed, and both project A and B use "Database.fs", both builds for project A and B are triggered.

I would like to implement this as Gated Check-ins though, such that if "Database.fs" is changed, a commit is only allowed if all projects using "Database.fs" build successfully. Is this possible?

So far I've only managed to Gated Check-in depend on the success of 1 build, that can trigger other builds afterward (after the first check-in has been done).

- To clarify my current setup:

If "Database.fs" is changed, Build A is triggered; and after completion Build B is triggered. If Build A succeeds and Build B fails, the commit is accepted, and if Build A fails and Build B succeeds, it is rejected.

Any help and/or links would be appreciated.
