google sheet script with check mark
What I'm trying to do is have a script that when I check mark (True) in sheet2 column B the script would lookup the ID# from Sheet2 column A
and change the check mark to (True) in Sheet 1 column E where the corresponding ID # in Sheet1 column A matches the ID# selected on Sheet2
Here's a link to my test page

Can I ask you about your question? Where is the script related to your question in your shared spreadsheet? If the script is not included, can you add the latest script to your question? And in your situation, you want to achieve it using a trigger? Can you update your question by including the detail information of what you want to do? I think that such information will help users think of your solution.
