Location Issue on WebView Xamarin Forms 3.1

0

I am trying to get current Location on web app loaded on xamarin. Forms 3.0+ WebView, I can't get it working and I have tried several ways for doing it based on the suggestions provided below :

  • Show Prompt to know the location

  • Xamarin Forms WebView Geolocation issue

Initially i used to get below message on logs after locaction Prompt
popup " Caught security exception while registering for location
updates from the system. The application does not have sufficient
geolocation permissions. 11-23 14:58:34.827
E/cr_LocationProvider(26982): newErrorAvailable application does not
have sufficient geolocation permissions."

And I solved by requesting location permission on popup prompt.

Notes:

  • I even went ahead and requested permission whenever there was location prompt.

  • I also tried to access location before opening the WebView itself

I just need to know what I might be missing.

  • I just recreated a signed apk for the above and tested on several devices, apparently it only works on android 8.0 and above
