How do I find what the ID of the required membership is to view a content restricted page with WooCommerce...

0

I'm trying to restrict content on a template page which is restricted using Memebrships.

The problem I am having is that all the documentation seems to point to using the function like wc_memberships_is_user_active_member() which takes the user ID and the plan slug or ID to restrict content.

That in itself is simple enough however I am trying to restrict the content on a template page single-video.php. This template is used to show content for several different memberships however and depending on which membership a user has depends on what videos they can see.

For example I have the following memberships:

  • Module 1

  • Module 2

Then the following custom posts:

  • Module 1 Video 1

  • Module 1 Video 2

  • Module 1 Video 3

  • Module 2 Video 1

  • Module 2 Video 2

So people who have an active membership to Module 1 can view the posts for module 1 but not module 2.

What I need to do is something like the following:

$user_id = get_current_user_id();
$plan_required = get_the_plan_required_to_view_post();

if( wc_memberships_is_user_active_member( $user_id , $plan_required ){

echo 'You can view this content';

} else {

echo 'Sorry you do not have a valid membership for this video';

}

I have checked the wp_posts and wp_postmeta tables to see if I can find somewhere that links the membership to the post content restriction but nothing seems to exist anywhere.

I'm sure it is really simple but I can not seem to find the solution.
