iphone X notch with ionic V1

I am trying to manage the notch of the iPhone X, but I haven't got any result for now.
Here are the versions:
- cordova : 6.1.1
- ionic 1.7.14
- Node : 4.0.0
I have found a few tutorials so I did these actions:
Modify viewport meta tag to be something like this:
< meta name="viewport" content="initial-scale=1,user-scalable=no,
width=device-width, height=device-height, viewport-fit=cover" >
Upgrade the 2 cordova plugin statusbar and splashscreen
- Add a new tag splash to the
config.xml
to add the new splashscreen with the good size - Add
padding-top
andpadding-bottom
to mybody
to manage the iPhone X in particular
After that I did not notice any change. The splashscreen is an old one and, on the splashscreen and the app, I still have a grey strip on the top and on the bottom of the screen. I did not find more solutions and unfortunately it's not possible to upgrade the ionic version.
Do you have any ideas about what I did wrong, or if there are other solutions?
