English: poor language

In portuguese we also say like in italian "buon lavoro" (before the task) we say "bom trabalho". So many things in our language we try to translate in english and it just doesn't work. Like when we say "I miss your" we can use so many words to mean that. Can be "sinto sua falta" or "sinto muito a sua falta" or can be sinto tanto/muitissimo a sua falta or just "saudades". Everything depends how much you miss that or the person. But in english no. You have just one expression for that and you can't mean how much you miss. Only with "very much". And sometimes we just want to say to someone that we miss that person in that place, but not that much. But if you say "miss you" the person can think something else. And there are so many other examples that in so many other languages we can express ourselves so much better than in english.
